Kahn Design proudly unveils the latest expression of its renowned coachbuilt programme with the Flying Huntsman Homage II in Aquamarine Blue. This new interpretation, based on a 2014 Defender 90 XS, honours the spirit of the original Homage II while presenting it through a more refined and timeless silhouette that reflects the best of British creativity, craftsmanship and engineering.
Continuing the legacy of the earlier soft top Homage II, the new station wagon retains the distinctive specification that defined the model. Its traditional split windscreen, elongated 98 inch chassis derived from the classic Defender 90, extended front wings and carefully reimagined lighting arrangement create a faithful yet contemporary recreation of the original Series II aesthetic. Every proportion has been meticulously developed to preserve the charm of early Land Rover design while delivering the precision, balance and presence expected from a modern Kahn creation.
While the first Homage II captured the character of an SVX inspired open top, the new hardtop edition takes on a more purposeful and design led identity. Finished in Aquamarine Blue, it introduces a calm and sophisticated tone that elevates the Defender’s utilitarian origins. The fixed roofline enhances the classic profile and adds a sense of architectural solidity, giving the Homage II Hardtop a composed and highly recognisable form that celebrates the purity of British automotive design.
Inside, the Homage II mirrors the handcrafted luxury that defines every Flying Huntsman build. A fully bespoke leather interior, a hand shaped wooden steering wheel and milled aluminium gear shifters highlight the artistry of traditional British coachbuilding. Every component is shaped by hand using time honoured techniques that the Kahn Group is dedicated to preserving. This approach champions a craft that is becoming increasingly rare, yet remains central to the identity of Flying Huntsman.
Designed, developed and built entirely in the United Kingdom at Kahn’s Bradford headquarters, the Homage II Station Wagon stands as both a tribute to British automotive heritage and a modern showcase of coachbuilt excellence. Production remains strictly limited, with each example constructed from hand formed aluminium and assembled by an in house team of craftsmen and engineers who specialise in low volume, high quality British manufacturing.
