KAHN | Forged Reintroduces Its Ferrari Wheel Programme with the New-Generation Type 52

Kahn® Design's forged wheel division, KAHN | Forged, has announced the reintroduction of its Ferrari forged wheel programme, opening with a new generation of Type 52 fitments engineered for the marque's latest V12 grand tourers, mid-engined supercars and performance GT models. The launch builds on one of the most celebrated Ferrari wheel designs in the Kahn® Design portfolio, introducing further design refinements while preserving the qualities that made the Type 52 an enduring favourite among Ferrari enthusiasts.

A Design Built on Motion and Negative Space

The Type 52 has always been defined by its lightweight appearance, directional geometry and carefully balanced use of negative space. Built around a five-spoke architecture, the wheel established its own identity through tapered primary spokes, layered secondary elements and a sculptural interplay between solid surfaces and open areas. The result is a design that appears to generate motion even at a standstill, a quality particularly suited to Ferrari's visual drama and performance character.

Engineered Around Ferrari's Modern Supercar DNA

For Ferrari applications, the wheel's open architecture serves both a practical and aesthetic purpose, exposing the large carbon ceramic brake systems that have become a defining feature of the marque's modern supercars. The central star-like geometry of the Type 52 further references wheel forms seen on earlier Ferrari models, drawing a subtle line between contemporary design and the brand's heritage.

Finish, Fitment and Specification

The new-generation Ferrari Type 52 is finished in Satin Black and features KAHN® and KAHN | Forged branding, while retaining the original Ferrari centre caps for a clean, factory-integrated appearance. The forged wheel is available in 20"/21", 21"/22" and 22"/23" configurations, depending on vehicle application, engineered to offer Ferrari owners a more technical and exclusive alternative while respecting the original character of the vehicles themselves.

The Road Ahead

The Type 52 in 21"/22" specification on a Tour de France Blue Ferrari 812 Superfast, introducing what is set to become a much wider programme of Ferrari forged wheel development. This new-generation Type 52 marks only the first phase of an expanded Ferrari wheel offering from KAHN | Forged, with additional forged wheel designs and vehicle applications already in development.
