We are looking for a Furniture Upholsterer to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to enhance your career and work with an outstanding brand in a truly stunning environment.

The candidate will undertake the dismantling and reassembly of vehicles to an extremely high standard, ensuring that the stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out in a professional and correct manner and that final quality checks are undertaken in line with applicable standards.

Our workshop is fast-paced and exciting with lots of opportunities to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. You will be responsible for stripping and fitting different marques. This means performing repairs to an extremely high standard. It is also important for you to fully understand different manufacturers' literature and bulletins so you are fully up-to-date.

DUTIES:

Roles and Responsibilities

• To prepare fabric and components for use in upholstery and/or soft furnishings.

• To prepare to upholster items of furniture involving preparation of the frame for upholstery, application of suspensions and filling materials.

• To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.

• Application of mesh material into plastic back using air hammer and hands.

• To competently fix upholstery to standard items of modern furniture and traditional furniture using a hand held staple gun, screw gun and other hand tools.

• Maintaining a high level of quality and meeting production efficiency

• Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery

Requirements

• 1 years' experience in an Upholsterer role

• The ability to produce a good quality product with excellent attention to detail.

• Practical skills, manual dexterity, especially hand skills and co-ordination.

• A positive mind-set with a ‘can do’ attitude.

• The aptitude to assimilate techniques.

We would like the ideal candidate to have the relevant experience and have an interest and passion in relation to vehicles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
