The All New Kahn® Design Porsche Macan Cobalt Tartan Interior Package

Kahn® Design expands its growing Porsche Macan programme with the introduction of the Cobalt Tartan Interior Package, a bespoke upholstery design inspired by the heritage of German performance motoring and reinterpreted through the brand's contemporary design language.

Developed exclusively for the petrol-powered Porsche Macan range, the new interior package draws subtle inspiration from the iconic tartan fabrics that became synonymous with German performance cars of the 1970s and 1980s. Rather than recreating a familiar pattern, KAHN® Design has developed its own bespoke woven textile, offering a more minimalist and modern interpretation of the concept.

 

A Visual Signature Defined by Cobalt

The Cobalt Tartan design features a monochromatic greyscale pattern intersected by a single horizontal and vertical cobalt blue line. These bold accents create an immediate visual signature, bringing contrast and structure to the fabric whilst maintaining a clean and understated appearance. The result is a tartan pattern that feels distinctly contemporary whilst remaining connected to the enthusiast culture that inspired it.

Applied to the centre sections of both the front and rear seats, the tartan inserts are paired with premium Black Nappa leather throughout the cabin. Black stitching has been deliberately retained to preserve the clean visual balance between fabric and leather, allowing the woven material itself to become the focal point of the interior.

Heritage Materials, Contemporary Execution

The introduction of Cobalt Tartan reflects a growing appreciation among enthusiasts for tactile materials and heritage-inspired interior design. As modern performance vehicles increasingly adopt uniform material palettes centred around Alcantara and digital interfaces, woven fabrics have begun to re-emerge within both Porsche enthusiast circles and the wider restomod community. Kahn® Design has embraced this movement by creating a material that celebrates German performance heritage whilst remaining firmly rooted in contemporary design.

Commission Now | Part of an Expanding Macan Programme

Available to commission now, the Cobalt Tartan Interior Package represents the latest addition to Kahn® Design's expanding Porsche Macan programme. Following the recent launch of the Hammerhead forged wheel programme, the new interior package signals the continued development of bespoke Porsche upgrades from Kahn® Design, with further additions to the Macan programme already in development.
