We are delighted to confirm, the Chelsea Truck Company and Kahn Design will be showcasing vehicles with a collective value of over one million pounds at the London Classic Car Show this week.
The event which takes place from 20-23 February at Olympia in Kensington will see Principal British designer, Afzal Kahn showcasing the coach built 6x6 Flying Huntsman Defender and Aston Martin Vengeance by Kahn.
Other Chelsea Truck Company cars joining the CTC/Kahn exhibition area on stand J6, include a brace of Defender Wide Track and CTC Jeep Wrangler Black Hawk models.
The Land Rover Defender XS Double Cab Pickup Flying Huntsman 6X6 lives up to what discerning customers expect from Kahn Design - true British craftsmanship.
Offered with either manual or automatic transmission, this coach-built vehicle certainly lives up to the hype.
This 6x6 is 880mm longer than a standard Defender and 150mm wider.
A Volcanic Rock colour change, front wings with integrated vents and wide rear wings in light weight composite shows that this truck is more about purpose than looking pretty.
An X-Lander front grille with headlamp surrounds, replacement front bumper with tron ring lights, fog lights and Shadow Chrome headlights ensures this vehicle can only be described as true automotive excellence.
On the inside you have complete elegance.
The interior gives a best-of-both-worlds type of mood. The entire interior is adorned with spacious hand-stitched leather – along with the dash board and roof liner.
Apart from the six-speed manual gearbox on offer, a four-speed auto and five-speed auto will also be up for the taking.
The Vengeance is a Kahn vehicle that is more than worthy of being thrust into a Marvel superhero movie.
This new coach built two-door coupe represents a stunning synthesis of modern engineering and classic streamlined design.
Face on; the redesigned front bumper and wide spaced grille give the Vengeance an aggressive look, framed by widened front wings which merge seamlessly into the doors.
The signature central bulge of the bonnet continues to the highly defined lines of the roof, which flow outwards to the widened C-pillars and rear wings, lending a muscular definition to the car’s surfaces.
The roof halo curves around the large rear window to the reshaped rear where a redesigned bumper assembly houses a purpose designed crosshair exhaust system and rear lighting.
The lightweight sculpted wheels are a perfectly balanced modern take on a retro style. The multi spoke design and inner rim takes inspiration from the classic roulette wheel, with a two tone finish juxtaposing the central section in body colour with the diamond cut outer section.
The number of spokes increases from sixteen at the front to eighteen at the rear, lending extra visual weight to complement the augmented rear wings.
To create the Black Hawk edition, British designer Afzal Kahn went back to the drawing board, re-imagining each aspect of the classic Jeep Wrangler from the ground up.
Working with a direct supply of new vehicles from Jeep, he has created an innovative design which marries iconic American engineering with military - inspired British style.
With every component tailor-made and precisely engineered, the build quality is comparable to that of a fully coach built vehicle.
This is reflected in the recent independent assessment of the Black Hawk’s value by British trade price specialists CAP, which awarded it a 37% higher residual value than the standard Jeep Wrangler model.
Afzal Kahn, chief executive of Kahn Design, expects the vehicles to be snapped up quickly by discerning investors and collectors alike.
“We are a fully independent British car company and it is an exciting time as the likes of The Vengeance and the Flying Huntsman 6X6 are ideal for discerning vehicle collectors whilst the Black Hawk and the 6X6 are ideal for families and discerning individuals," said Mr Kahn.
In addition to the vehicles, Afzal Kahn will also officially unveil a brand new Flying Huntsman retro electric bike.
New to the UK market and exclusively available at Kahn Design showrooms in Chelsea, Kensington and the H.Q in Yorkshire, with only a limited number of bikes up for sale– this rare and coveted bike is certain to become an instant collector’s item.
The exquisite design is matched only by the nonchalant performance which is afforded at 15.5 Mph in less than 4 seconds within a 50 mile range (per charge) and the fact that the bike has a central motor pedal assist, all of which have been certified by Afzal Kahn himself, who tested the bike and ultimately gave it the thumbs up.
