Racing Green Automotive doesn't follow trends—it launches them. And with the debut of the Range Rover Sport Fintail Prototype, the marque, in collaboration with British design house Kahn Design, once again proves it's operating in a league of its own. This isn't a cosmetic refresh—it's an 18-month exploration of what happens when you merge the brutalist engineering of aerospace design with the elegance of modern automotive luxury.
Ground Effect, Elevated
The transformation begins with the Ground Effect Pack, a trio of precision-formed elements: a deep front splitter, sculpted side skirts, and a dramatic triple-fin diffuser housing dual “afterburner” exhaust exits. The materials? High-grade composites. The insignia? A subtle nod to heritage—‘66 Racing Green'—paying homage to motorsport tradition and the legendary No. 66 Squadron of the Royal Flying Corps.
These aren't mere aesthetic flourishes. The sculptural stabilisers and aero fins channel active aerodynamic principles seen in fighter jets and Formula cars. They serve a purpose: real downforce, real balance, real performance. This is design that moves—literally.
A Wider Stance. A Sharper Silhouette.
Flared arches anchor the vehicle visually and physically, lending a grounded, rear-biased presence. Engineered to work with both combustion and hybrid powertrains, they integrate seamlessly into the flowing bodywork, creating a posture that feels poised, athletic, and muscular.
At the rear, dual spoilers, roof and boot-lid—add a theatrical but functional edge. Drawing on the form language of high-performance airbrakes, these elements sharpen the SUV's silhouette while subtly improving stability at speed. It's Range Rover, reimagined for the left lane of the Autobahn.
Fighter Jet Inspiration Up Front
The Fintail's reworked front fascia introduces angular vent inlets, heavily inspired by the F-35's S-duct intake system. These aren't just stylistic cues, they're functional, managing airflow while establishing a bold, technical visual signature.
Above it, the redesigned bonnet brings in vertical stabiliser fins and detailed venting—more aerospace tech, applied with the same surgical precision as a Savile Row stitch.
The Engineering Beneath the Elegance
This prototype isn't just a design exercise—it's a statement in precision manufacturing. From CAD modelling to 5-axis CNC tooling, every surface and element has been refined using techniques lifted directly from aerospace and motorsport. Digital wind-tunnel testing ensures the form meets function, and every panel is hand-finished to standards that border on obsessive.

This is more than a one-off. The Range Rover Sport Fintail Prototype will be offered for sale soon, with a full production programme to follow under the Racing Green Automotive label.
