His latest project, first sketched in 2018, the GTC4 Grand Edition is the most complete expression of everything the designer stands for: styling research directed towards defining timeless styling statements using the best British coach-built traditions.

The GTC4 Grand edition has been redesigned to express exemplary British coach-built capabilities.

This vehicle, a truly unique production build, new hammer formed hand crafted front wings inspired by the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa complemented with floating buttresses, remodelled headlight apertures referencing the 2019 Ferrari Monza SP2, front grille, front driving lights and a front bumper.

Detailed subtle changes include Ferrari branding, exhaust tips and forged wheels in Anthracite finish to match the Grand Edition livery which is inspired by Ferrari’s both past and present.

In addition, forged wheels in Diamond Cut finish - 20" front and 21" rear complete with 255 x 35 20” (front) 315 x 30 x 21” (rear) ContiSportContact 5 P tyres from Project Kahn’s high performance tyre partner, Continental.

The ContiSportContact 5 P is a super-sporty tyre with perfect steering, precision and outstanding handling.

Afzal Kahn explains the rationale behind the project: “I was looking for something that I can use as an everyday supercar only with seats. The only car I could think of that also has the elements of a shooting brake was the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. The only thing that let the car down was the nose cone.

“Therefore, I wanted to create my own vision which paid homage to Ferrari. If they created a new face lift model, I believe this is what it would look like. I have a passion for metal work coachbuilding. However, the traditional manner in which hand-crafted cars are made has all but disappeared in the UK with only a handful of talented craftsmen who can produce what I believe is a form of art. And I am fortunate to be a part of it and help to continue its legacy.

“I am passionate about bringing traditional British coach building into the world of modern supercars with support from Continental whose high-performance tyres get the very best out of this vehicle.”
