We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Sales Manager to assist us in maximising commercial potential, managing showroom operations, and implementing procedures and policies to manage and develop the capabilities of our Sales Executives. The sales element of this role is focused entirely on one vehicle brand and the successful candidate will act as an ambassador for the corresponding brand-specific programme.

Reporting to the CEO, the role requires a driven individual with the ability and aptitude to work at a strategic level, delivering on targets and achieving growth.

The successful candidate will have previous Sales and Operations Management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the vehicle sales showroom and the company's team of Sales Executives.
  • Exhibit a hands-on approach to management.
  • Development of the team's Sales Executives to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Creation and implementation of procedures and policies.
  • Assist with visits to potential customers to prospect for new business.
  • Act as a key contact between the company and its existing and potential customers.
  • Support the Sales Executives in negotiating the terms of agreements and in the closure of sales.
  • Gather market and customer information.
  • Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions, demonstrations and other events.
  • Negotiate variations in price, delivery and specifications with other managers.
  • Advise the team on upcoming product developments and contribute towards the creation of special promotions.
  • Maintain record of vehicle stock, updating Sales Executives accordingly.
  • Check vehicles in build and being a key point of contact with Production.
  • Review own sales performance, meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
  • Training and development of Sales Executives within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with team members.

Skills

  • Previous Sales Management experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven Sales experience.
  • Must possess strong IT skills and have the ability to create and implement Strategic Sales plans and procedures.
  • Excellent Leadership Skills including Operations Management experience.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • Possess excellent communications skills at all levels.
  • Able to analyse and interpret research data.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a ‘can do' attitude is essential.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Resilient and persistent.
  • Persuasive.
  • The ability to flourish in a competitive environment.
  • Team player, able to liaise successfully with the company's Design, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Production departments to ensure positive results.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £35,000 basic / £50,000 OTE

Education:

  • Bachelor's (strongly preferred)

Experience:

  • High-end sales: 1 year (required)
  • Automotive Industry: 4 years (required)
