The KAHN® Forged Type 52 Turbofan extends the original five-spoke face with a turbofan-style rim edge, twenty-five apertures angled directionally around the outer ring. The lean of each aperture alludes to air being drawn out from the brakes, reinforcing a sense of function within the form. Framed against the tapering main spokes and perpendicular blades of the original Type 52, the outer ring adds a fast, radiating edge to a design already built on directional tension.
